When discovered the cancer was beyond the stage that surgery can be successful. They may live 2 days to 2 months after surgery. We chose not to do that to Teddy as it would not prolong his life but have him suffer from recovery of surgery only to have to go through the cancer as well. We had several good weeks with Teddy where he was able to run, fetch the ball, play with the kids, run with the other dogs, go for car rides, hiking and being happy at home with his family. |
